NBIB Website Content Moving to DCSA on September 27

The new Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) website will launch on September 27, 2019!

Per Executive Order (EO) 13869, in combination with the National Defense Authorization Act of 2018, section 925, NBIB will be officially transferring from the Office of Personnel Management to the Department of Defense. As a result, beginning September 27th, 2019, we will launch the new DCSA website where Federal employees, Federal contractors, military personnel, Federal agencies and the general public can find up-to-date information on the background investigation process. From October 1, 2019, until December 31, 2019, the current NBIB webpages will redirect you to the new DCSA website. As you get familiar with the new site, please note that the website will still list the NBIB points of contact, and some NBIB documents, as we work to merge and rebrand all agency correspondence. However, this platform will also feature new sections of the website like “My Background Investigation” for applicants and “Information Systems” for Human Resources, Security, and Facility Security Officers.

Please note that the electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) Homepage will remain on the NBIB website until December 31, 2019, as some agencies currently use this Homepage in their e-QIP communications with applicants. It will be required after December 31, 2019, that all applicants be provided the link directly to the e-QIP application. More information will be provided to customer agencies on this topic from their Agency Liaisons.

Lastly, our social media handle (@NBIBgov) will be retired on September 30, 2019. Follow @DCSAgov to stay up to date with the #backgroundinvestigations community!
