Investigator - As an Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting interviews/checks to complete background investigations for suitability and national security on current and prospective Federal employees and contractors. Extensive travel is required within the local commuting area of this announcement as well as the possible need for frequent overnight travel outside the local commuting area.

Investigations Case Analyst - As an Investigations Case Analyst, you will audit and analyze individual reports of investigations to ensure cases meet coverage requirements, quality standards and issue resolution requirements. 

Personnel Security Specialist - As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing initial investigations and re-investigations conducted on applicants and employees to determine if the individuals meet the suitability/security requirements of the position.

Program Analyst - The incumbent of this position serves as a Program Analyst and performs a variety of assignments relating to the policies and operations of the NBIB's nationwide investigations program.

NBIB Joint Duty Developmental Rotation Program:

The NBIB Joint Duty Developmental Rotation Program offers civilians (GS-09 thru senior executive level or equivalent) the opportunity to broaden and enhance their skills through cross-agency temporary details/rotations that support special tasks, or projects. Employees enhance and develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities through developmental studies, information-sharing, interagency cooperation, and mentoring and shadowing while performing different types of work in order to improve our national security.
